Module

By Frederik Drost

Module is a watch term used to describe the internal mechanism of a watch. A watch module is a pre-assembled, self-contained unit that contains all of the components necessary to power a watch. It typically contains a movement, a stem, a dial, hands, jewels, a balance wheel, and a winding stemstem. Modules are used in both quartz and mechanical watches, and can be swapped out or replaced to repair or change the watch’s function.
