Tuning-fork

By Frederik Drost

Tuning-fork watches are a type of timepiece that utilizes a tuning-fork vibrator as its timekeeping element. The vibrator is driven by an electric current and produces a vibration frequency of exactly 360 Hz, which is then used to measure the passage of time. Because the tuning-fork vibrator is very precise and reliable, tuning-fork watches are highly accurate and ideal for use in timekeeping applications. In addition to accuracy, they also have low power consumption and are very durable.
