Trotteuse is a term used to describe a watch complication, also known as a “jumping second”. It is a small hand on the watch dial that moves forward in one-second intervals, much like a second hand on a standard watch. The Trotteuse is usually located at the six o’clock position and is used to measure short periods of time. It is often featured on chronographs and other complex watches for precision timing.
