Sweeping Seconds Hand

By Frederik Drost

A sweeping seconds hand is a feature found in many watches that adds an elegant touch to its design. The seconds hand is the longest hand on a watch and is used to keep track of elapsed time. With a sweeping seconds hand, the hand slowly and continuously moves around the dial of the watch, rather than ticking off the seconds one-by-one like a traditional watch. This feature adds visual interest to a watch and gives it a more sophisticated look.
