Microsecond

By Frederik Drost

A microsecond is a unit of time equal to one millionth of a second. It is most commonly used in scientific and technological fields such as engineering, astronomy, and computer science. Microseconds are used to measure extremely small intervals of time, such as the time between two events or the time it takes for a signal to travel a certain distance. They are an important part of measuring very short events and processes, such as the speed of light or the performance of a computer processor.
