Manufacture

By Frederik Drost

Manufacture is a term used to refer to watchmakers that design, assemble, and produce their own watches from start to finish. Manufacture watches are usually of a higher quality and more intricate than those that are mass-produced, and are often handcrafted with a great degree of attention to detail. The term is often used to describe a watch that is made completely in-house, including the movement, case, dial, and hands. Manufacture watches are typically more expensive than mass-produced watches due to the amount of time and effort that goes into their production.
