Luster

By Frederik Drost

Luster is the term used to describe the reflective quality of a watch’s surface. It is a measure of how much light the watch reflects, and is determined by the type of metal or material the watch is made of. It can range from a dull sheen to a dazzling sparkle, and can be used to help differentiate between different types of timepieces. A watch with a higher luster will have a more attractive appearance, and is often desired by watch collectors and connoisseurs.
