By Frederik Drost

Lever Escapement is a type of escapement used in mechanical watches and clocks. It is a complex mechanism which regulates the movement of the watch or clock through an oscillating lever which works in conjunction with a balance wheel. Lever Escapement is one of the oldest types of escapement and is still used in modern watches and clocks. It is a highly accurate and reliable mechanism, providing the user with precise time keeping.
