D.L.C.

By Frederik Drost

D.L.C. stands for Diamond-Like Carbon. It is a very hard and durable material used in the production of watches, especially luxury watches. It is a chemical vapor deposition process that combines carbon and other elements to produce a diamond-like layer of protection on the watch. It is highly scratch-resistant and can last for up to five times longer than traditional coatings. D.L.C. is also used to protect components of watches from corrosion and chemical reactions.
