A chronograph is a type of watch with an added stopwatch feature. It has an independent sweep second hand that can be started and stopped to measure elapsed time, and typically includes a display of both minutes and seconds. Chronographs are often used for timing sports events or as a way to measure and record lap times. They are available in both analog and digital designs and are often equipped with additional features such as alarms, countdown timers, and multiple time zones.
