12 or 24-Hour Register

By Frederik Drost

A 12 or 24-Hour Register is a feature of many watches that allows the user to select whether to display the time in a 12-hour or 24-hour format. The 12-hour format is the standard, where the day is divided into two 12-hour cycles, usually marked AM and PM. The 24-hour format, also known as Military Time, displays the time in a continuous cycle, starting from midnight and ending at 11:59 PM. This feature is useful for people who are used to the 24-hour format, such as those in the military and airline industry.
