FYI – For my french readers, they have just launched a french site: https://angeljackets.fr/
Once again, I have the pleasure of reviewing a leather coat from Angel Jackets. With globalization and direct-to-consumer sales, more brands are offering quality leather goods at better prices. But is Angel Jackets worth it? Let’s find out.
The brand

Angel Jackets specializes in leather jackets for men and women. And this is not the only site that does this kind of. tactic But how do they square up against others?
They actually have a very large selection of different jackets compared to some that I’ve seen more. choices better in my opinion. Besides this, their website works pretty fine. And they do a pretty good job at highlighting different sizes and showing you. sizes when choosing. your size, meaning showing you exactly the measurements in inches, which is a big plus considering you can’t try on the jacket.
Again, you bear in mind that this is not a specific brand, and they’re not trying to be angel jackets, but merely associating leather jacket products directly to the customer. Nothing wrong with that, but worth noting as you might find the same jacket on other websites too.
Design

The jacket I chose to review is the Men’s Belted Black Leather Trench Coat.
Leather trench coats follow a classic design, so there are no surprises here. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this exact style in The Punisher 😉
This jacket is a real statement piece—it completely transforms your look and, by extension, even how you carry yourself. There’s something about the stitching and full-leather build that adds an air of mystery and coolness, especially when you wear the collar up (which is my go-to style).
One standout feature is that the collar stays up when popped—a detail that some jackets fail at, which can be frustrating. Another plus is the pocket space, with three inside pockets and two outside, offering plenty of storage.
I usually style it with a white turtleneck, a beanie, jeans, and either black leather shoes or sneakers. The result? A seriously cool look.
Sizing
Let’s Talk Sizing
For larger coats like this, I prefer going one size up for a better fit. If you’re considering this jacket—or any from their site—here are some details to help you pick the right size.
I’m 193 cm tall, weigh around 100 kg, and have a relatively muscular build (with a bit of extra, but let’s keep that between us). My chest measures 120 cm when flexing, which is slightly smaller than the 54-inch chest measurement listed for the XXL size—yet it fits perfectly.
When choosing your size, remember you’ll likely want room for a sweater or layers underneath, so sizing up might be a good call.
Quality & Durability

When evaluating quality, it’s important to consider the price—leather isn’t cheap, even at lower grades, and this jacket uses a lot of it.
If you’re expecting premium leather, you’ll be disappointed, but what you can expect is a solid build. The stitching is well done, and the craftsmanship is impressive for the price.
While the leather itself is on the cheaper side, that doesn’t mean it won’t last—especially with proper care. It may not be highly scratch-resistant, but with regular maintenance, this coat should hold up for years.
One common complaint from other reviewers is the chemical smell when the jacket first arrives. This is likely due to the leather treatment process. While not ideal, it’s not a deal-breaker.
I left mine on the balcony to air out for a few days, and the odor completely disappeared, replaced by a more natural leather scent. Given the price, I don’t see this as a major issue.
Price
Price & Value
This jacket is priced at $269 / 261 EUR, though as I’m writing this, it’s on sale for $219.
Given the solid construction and the amount of leather used, I’d say the price is more than fair, even with the minor drawbacks. For what you’re getting, it’s a great deal.
Conclusion

Final Verdict
Angel Jackets’ Men’s Belted Black Leather Trench Coat delivers solid craftsmanship, a stylish design, and great value for the price. While the leather itself isn’t top-tier, the construction is impressive, and with proper care, this coat should last for years.
The fit is true to size, but sizing up is a good idea if you plan to layer. The collar stays up, which is a big plus, and the ample pocket space adds practicality. While some may notice a chemical smell upon arrival, airing it out solves the issue.
At $269 (or $219 on sale), this jacket is a great buy for those looking for a stylish, well-made leather trench without breaking the bank. If you want a cool, versatile coat with a classic edge, this one’s worth considering.
