Split-seconds (chronograph)

By Frederik Drost

A split-seconds (chronograph) watch is a type of timepiece that has the ability to measure elapsed time. It features a stopwatch-style complication that allows the user to time multiple events simultaneously. The watch is equipped with two central seconds hands—one for the regular timekeeping and the other for the chronograph. When the chronograph is activated, the second hand will start to move, and when the user presses the split-seconds button, the second hand will stop, allowing the user to measure the time difference between two events. This type of watch is useful for measuring lap times and other precise intervals, making it a great choice for athletes and racing enthusiasts.
