It’s been a while since I posted anything here, but this article has been in my head since the creation of my blog! I would like to introduce you to the brand Initium Eyewear!
I discovered this brand after watching the movie Iron Man 2 where Tony Stark wore these bad-ass sunglasses several times. So I did a little google search and I came across the Initium Eyewear brand website. The model in question is the All In and I immediately took out my credit 🙂 They also supply glasses for several Marvel films such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant Man, Spiderman Homecoming and Avengers 4!
But my relationship with this brand didn’t stop there. I have 4 pairs of their sunglasses today and the hardest thing is to choose which ones to take when the Danish sun decides to show it’s face 🙂
Size
The first 2 models I’m going to show you are oversized because I really have a big head 🙂 If you often find sunglasses to be too small, I recommend this size. These glasses look great on Robert Downey Jr. but he’s a small man and I made the mistake of thinking that my head was the same size as his. The width of the glasses of the classic model is 49mm and for the oversize it’s 61mm.
Quality
The quality of these sunglasses matches the price range, except the Concept 2. The Concept 2 seems to be better quality than the others for some reason, but that is never a problem. I have had the pleasure of trying 3 pairs of All-Ins and the frame is not always centered well, but we are talking about millimeters here (you can see it on the first picture). Nevertheless, these heavy bulky sunglasses do exaclty what they are suppose to: make you look cool AF!
I really like that their all-metal frames have spring hinges, which i only see on high end glasses. That makes them much more comfortable to wear, because the branches will fold around your head without adding pressure.

This is the only place I could find online that speaks of these unique shades.
I would love to know more about the Police – Initium eyewear sunglasses. The one with the clear and black frame with red tint lenses.
1. the lens dimension.
2. any suggestions on how to purchase it at an affordable rate.

Only Initium sells the tinted lens versions 🙂 They are medium sized but i don’t have the exact dimensions on me, but Amazon states this :

Is it the real police sunglasses?
Yes, they are real!
You can still get them on certain sites, without the red lenses… Only Initium sells the red lenses!

Regarding the Police frames. Is the red tint simply an overlay as shown on the intium website?
The grey lens on the black and clear frames looks similar to the grey lens on the grey and teal frames which intium also sell, yet when the red overlay is added the lenses look very light, ie the eyes are visible.
Are your eyes visible through the grey lens with red overlay?

Hello Mark,
No, every pair of those comes with 2 pair of lenses that are relatively easy to change. They all come with the red see-through lenses and yes, you can see my eyes through the lenses (great for indoor use or hitting the clubs!).
My black lenses are regular lenses so you can’t see my eyes.

Such a great review. I’ve bought the regular sized ones but wondering if I should have gone for the oversized too. How did you find the fit of the oversized?
BTW I meant to specify, the Concept 2 is the frame I’ve bought in a regular size
I have a pretty big head and these sunglasses are meant to be big!
So i actually loved the fit of the oversized ones! If you feel like many sunglasses are too small, that is the fit you should go for. Be aware it is not a huuge difference in sizem but just enough for me 🙂

Is the top portion of the red lenses a mirror effect, same as regular Neymarjr S1948? It’s difficult to tell, it looks like the red washes over the mirror lens portion, rather than the mirror section sitting on top of the tint as is usual.

I have a big head as-well and I’m torn between the regular and the oversize “all in” frame. The longer arm length of 145 appeals to me but I’m worried the 61mm lenses will look massive, so they feel big on?. I’d love to see what yours look like on, of course my head might be bigger
I have what my local glasses lady considers the biggest head in the business, and I bought the oversized version and it’s totally fine. Worst case, you can probably exchange them, but I would go oversized 🙂 Mr Downey Jr. had them like that, he is a very small man.

You need to choose the right option. Don’t hesitate to email them and tell them I referred you, the owner will surely answer you wich option is closest to the movie model (that’s how I got them). I forgot wich one 🙂
