A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is a type of flat-panel electronic display that uses liquid crystal technology to display text, images, or video. LCDs are found in a wide range of devices, from digital watches to TVs and computer monitors. LCDs are made up of two sheets of polarizing material that contain liquid crystal molecules sandwiched in between them. When electricity is applied, the molecules align and light is able to pass through them, illuminating the pixels of the display. This creates the image on the screen. LCDs are known for their energy efficiency, thinness, and ability to display vivid colors.
